Currently, the Training Division is managed by the two daytime Fire Captains, with administrative oversight from the Deputy Chief. The Training Division manages and facilitates all training for Dallas Fire & EMS members.
The Training Division is responsible for the Health and Safety for Dallas Fire & EMS. This includes State and Federal compliance and Safety Committee administration, oversight of policies and procedures: including updates, best practices, and following national trends.
The Training Division is tasked with maintaining all communication equipment including Mobile Data Computers, radios, and cellular services. This includes interfacing with various vendors and outside agencies to provide the equipment and technology to our staff.
Fire Corp/Support services, this dedicated group of non-firefighters support the functions of the firefighters, including on scene rehabilitation, Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) maintenance, and public education. This group also assists with many tasks that enhance the abilities of Dallas Fire & EMS.
