Councilor Paul Trahan

Personal Background

Paul is married to Charlotte and has two sons, Nick and Joe. Paul earned a BS degree from The George Washington University in 1974 after being honorably discharged from the US Navy. After graduation, Paul worked in construction where he developed an interest in property development and in particular, “Entitlements”.

Paul and Charlotte moved to Dallas in 2000 to take a position with a local developer where he worked until his retirement in 2013. Since his retirement, he has remained active serving on many committees. Paul has developed a part-time Land Use Consulting business assisting Dallas residents with understanding Oregon Land Use and City procedures and process.

Public Service

Since the early 70’s, Paul has been volunteering with local High Schools serving as an Athletic Trainer. Most notably while in college, he volunteered at TC Williams High School in Alexandria Virginia during the football season later made into the movie “Remember the Titians”. Locally, Paul has volunteered at Perrydale High School for the past several years serving as Athletic Trainer and assistant coach for softball.
