Commissions & Boards

Meetings of advisory boards and commissions are scheduled when they have business to conduct; some may only meet a couple times a year while others meet every month.

The public is welcome and encouraged to attend all public meetings.

Board & Commission Vacancies

The City of Dallas is seeking resident volunteers to serve on the Planning Commission or Budget Committee.

The Planning Commission is responsible for making planning and development-related decisions in the City.

Nine resident members and the nine City Councilors comprise the Budget Committee, according to budgeting law.  Members are appointed to a three-year term and are generally required to attend three to five evening meetings in the spring.  The Budget Committee is responsible for annually reviewing the proposed Budget and making recommendations to the Council.  Applicants must reside within city limits and be registered to vote.
