City Attorney's Office

The Dallas City Attorney is an independent contractor for the city. Their office provides legal advice to:

• Mayor
• City Council
• Planning Commission
• City Manager's Office
• Other City Departments

Additionally, the City Attorney represents the City in litigation; provides legal opinions on official matters; reviews City contracts, bonds, franchises and other legal instruments; and acts as the prosecuting attorney for the City in Municipal Court.
