Committees, Commissions and Boards
The City's various committees, commissions, and boards assist in the governance of the community and Dallas residents are encouraged to participate. Serving on a committee, commission, or board is a rewarding way for you to engage with the community. Most are advisory to City Council while others provide expertise or review policies. The Mayor recommends and the City Council appoints all committee, commission and board members.
Terms expire at the end of a calendar year and a solicitation for applications is generally available in November each year. If you are interested in serving on a committee, commission or board, please complete a Citizen Committee Interest Form, and your application will be considered by the Mayor for appointment with consent from the City Council. For more information, call 503.831.3502.
To file a grievance under ORS 192.705 for a Public Meetings Law Violation, please contact the City Recorder by email at recorder@dallasor.gov, or by mail or in person during regular business hours at 187 SE Court St., Dallas, OR 97338.
