Volunteering in Our Parks

Dallas City Park

The Parks Division is fortunate to have volunteers work in the numerous parks in Dallas throughout the season. If you are interested in volunteering, there are plenty of opportunities!

If your group is interested in performing a service project, please contact the Parks Department at 503.831.2830 and we'll work with you to plan an experience suited to your group's interests and abilities.

Adopt-a-Park Program

The Adopt-A-Park (AAP) program exists to promote partnerships between community members, groups, and businesses and the City Parks staff. Adopt-A Park volunteers participate in a variety of activities including removing litter and debris, controlling weeds, caring for plants, mulching around trees and planting areas, raking leaves, identifying hazards, reporting vandalism, and planting trees, shrubs, and other vegetation.  The combined efforts of staff and volunteers create a beautiful, clean environment for all to enjoy.
