New Police Station - Project Details and Tour Sign Ups

Dallas Police Department New Station Project

The Dallas Police Department has outgrown its current space and needs a new station. The 27-person department is currently working out of multiple buildings in and around City Hall. The officers and staff need more space in their own, dedicated facility to work more efficiently and stay safe while they serve our community.

A new, larger station has been proposed at 147 SE Court St., the current site of the Polk County Itemizer-Observer, next to the department’s current facilities. This new station would be more secure and provide space for training, evidence processing and other essential tasks.

More information about the project is available at this online open house. This virtual open house provides an overview of the project, including floor plans and details about the future site. Project staff also want your feedback on the look of the exterior of the new station. We will be accepting feedback through the online open house until Oct. 16.

Facility Tours

Join the Dallas Police Department for a guided tour of the current facilities to explore its limitations and the need for a new, larger station next to City Hall. The tours provide community members an opportunity to gain insight into the challenges faced by our staff and the plans for a larger facility that will better serve our community’s needs. Your feedback and engagement is vital as we move forward with this important project.Join the Dallas Police Department for a guided tour of the current facilities to explore its limitations and the need for a new, larger station next to City Hall.
