What is National Night Out?
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.
Neighborhoods host block parties, cookouts and various other community events with visits from emergency personnel!
This year's events are scheduled for August 6, 2024 from 5:30 until 9:00 PM.
Want to participate?
If you are interested in hosting a National Night Out Block Party in your neighborhood, please email Communications Specialist, Alyson Roberson at alyson.roberson@dallasor.gov or fill out the online registration form here!
Please note, you will be required to submit a Block Party Permit (at no cost) through the City of Dallas at least 10 days prior to your event if you plan on blocking any part of a public street. Block Party Permits must be submitted by July 26th at 5:00 pm to meet this cutoff.
