Author and Geologist Dr. William N. Orr, PhD

Join us on Tuesday, July 2nd at 6:00pm for Dr. Orr's presentation of Excavation of an Ice Age Fossil in Kings Valley.

 

William N. Orr, Professor Emeritus of Geology at University of Oregon, has coauthored many books including,

Geology of the Pacific Northwest, Second Edition and Oregon Water: An Environmental History.

Join us on Friday, July 12 at 6:30 PM for author Ferris Jabr. He will be discussing his new book Becoming Earth: How Our Planet Came to Life. 

 

Ferris Jabr is a contributing writer for The New York Times Magazine. He has also written for The New Yorker, Harper’s, The Atlantic, National Geographic, and Scientific American. He is the recipient of a Whiting Foundation Creative Nonfiction Grant and fellowships from UC Berkeley and MIT. His work has been anthologized in several editions of Best American Science and Nature Writing.

On Friday, July 19th at 5:00 pm, teens ages 12 to 17 can come to he library for a FREE Teen Breakout and Chocolate Olympics event!

Similar to an escape room...you will work together to solve a series of puzzles and win the game!
