The Oregon Reptile Man

The Oregon Reptile Man will be at the Dallas Civic Center on Thursday, October 3rd at 5:00pm.

Kids and Families will have a chance to see reptiles such as large lizards, large boas, and

pythons, an alligator, and more! The show is full of  humor, making it fun and educational.

Okaidja is a multi-instrumentalist, Afro-Classical, Afro-Jazz, Ambient music, Singer-Songwriter

from Ghana, West Africa. His unique artistic vision has led him to combine

his native rhythms with unforeseen pairings of musical flavors. His sound is a spicy fusion of

Ghanaian music with diverse cross-cultural influences.

Friends of the Dallas Public Library Book Sale will be at the
Dallas Civic Center. If you would like to shop the Member Pre Sale and 

join the Dallas Oregon Friends of the Library, you can pick up an application at the sale

or stop by the library. Memberships start at $15 a year (for an Individual Membership).

Hardcover Books are $2.00, Soft Cover Books are $1.00.

The bag sale will be Saturday from 2-3pm....fill a bag with books for $5

Teen Oreo Taste Off

Friday, October 18, 2024 - 5:00pm

Teens ages 11 to 17 may join us on Friday, October 18th at 5:00pm for an Oreo taste-off! We

will have multiple flavors of Oreo cookies on hand to taste and rate, from best to worst flavors.

We provide and the cookies and milk!  *Sign Ups Required* Please stop by the library to sign up.

Oregon Author Willy Vlautin

Oregon author Willy Vlautin, returns to the Dallas Library. 

Willy is the award-winning author of six novels, including The Free, The Motel Life,

Lean on Pete, The Night Always Comes, and the recently released novel,

The Horse. Three of his novels, The Motel Life,

Lean on Pete, and The Night Always Comes have been adapted as films. He is also

the founder of the bands Richmond Fontaine and The Delines.

Harry Potter Night-The Magic Returns

Dress as your favorite Harry Potter character and join us for snacks, a scavenger hunt,

costume contest, and other Harry Potter themed activities!
