Recreation swimming is a great time to be at the Dallas Aquatic Center! All pools, the slide, the diving board, the splash fountain, and the river are open. We also keep one lane of the lap pool open and the wade pool is open. This is the ideal time for youth and families to come and enjoy this fantastic facility and all it has to offer.
Recreation swimming is a scheduled open swim time available during specific scheduled hours.

Slide Rules
We have a minimum height requirement of 48" to ride the water slide. If a swimmer is under 48", they may pass a swim test to use the slide. Sorry, no double-riding, catching someone at the bottom of the slide, or persons over 250 pounds.
Rope swing available during recreation swimming times.
