As of 2023, the Portland State Population Research Center estimates Dallas population to be 17,989, a nearly 2% increase from 2022. Dallas’s growing population is a great opportunity for any business to hire locally from a trained workforce.

Incentives

The City of Dallas is proud to offer regularly available incentives to help offset costs for businesses.

  • Dallas’ Enterprise Zone allows for some tax abatement to businesses who qualify for this inventive. If you are interested in this incentive, please email economicdevelopment@dallasor.gov or our friends at SEDCOR
  • In the downtown core, The Downtown Urban Renewal District has two grant opportunities for owners and businesses to upgrade their buildings. These programs vary year to year, so please email tyler.ferrari@dallasor.gov for updated information on these programs.
