Dallas City Park
Dallas City Park, the largest park in town (35 acres), plays host to large community events, and is a great place to hold family gatherings or company picnics. For convenience and comfort at these events, the park features:
- A creek with a swimming hole
- An 18-hole disc golf course
- Approximately 100 picnic tables
- Five basketball courts
- Numerous BBQ pits
- One kitchen
- Five horseshoe pits
- Several sinks
- Two fireplaces
- Two playground areas
- Two sets of restrooms
- Two shelters
The park is also an excellent place for exercise and relaxation, as it is home to paved trails, an expansive arboretum, and a Japanese garden.
Seasonal Dates
The Dallas City Park is open year round with a summer reservation season. Over 50,000 people use the Dallas City Park and its picnic facilities each year. The Dallas City Park offers a seasonal reservation system from May 1 through September 30.
Please note that the water is shut off and restrooms are closed from the end of October until the first part of April each year. There is a portable restroom available during this time on the Academy Street side of the park. Also, during the summer months, the restrooms will be available from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm. A portable restroom will be available after-hours.
Disc Golf
A 9-hole disc golf course was added to the park in September 2009. In 2010, an additional 9 holes were added. This 18-hole course is expertly laid out for disc golf enthusiasts of all skill levels.

Delbert Hunter Arboretum
The Delbert Hunter Arboretum and Botanic Garden is situated on 5 acres of undeveloped land at the south end of Dallas City Park. The arboretum is dedicated to promotion, awareness, knowledge, and appreciation of Oregon's native trees, shrubs, and wildflowers.
The arboretum is open to visitors during park hours. The visitors center is open each Tuesday from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon. Volunteer opportunities are available.

Japanese Garden
A bridge from the Brandvold section of the park leads you to the Japanese Garden. This tranquil setting includes meandering paths throughout the garden, a waterfall, pond, and traditional vegetation.
Directions
To get to Dallas City Park, take Ellendale Avenue west and turn south onto Levens Street. To access the Brandvold (“new”) section of the park located at 401 Southwest Levens Street, turn west onto Brandvold Drive. To reach the Park Gazebo (“old”) section of the park located at 600 Southwest Allgood Street, continue on Levens to Academy Street. Turn west on Academy, and continue one block until you reach the park.
