Water Division

Water Division Overview

The Water Division provides reliable and safe drinking water to the community and also assures the continuous availability of water for fire suppression purposes. Maintaining these services requires watershed management; and the operation and maintenance of the Mercer Reservoir Dam and Intake Facility, Dallas Water Treatment Plant, a water line distribution system, hydrants, pump stations and storage reservoirs. The Division is responsible for water sampling and testing to maintain compliance with water quality regulations, meter reading, leak detection, pressure checks and installation of service to new construction.
